Do Horses really reflect how I'm feeling?

Over the past few years I have come to understand the importance of non verbal communication, it accounts for 70% of human communication! In perspective you could spend days and days writing a speech, then 5 minutes delivering it and how it is received will be influenced not by the words but how you are standing, what your arms are doing, your tone. This has fascinated me but my work and training with horses has taken this to a whole new level.....
Horses are acoustical, they function by sensing the vibration of energy moving around their body. They have to, it keeps them alive, will come back to that, what is important to us as humans is horses are sensitive to energy flowing around our bodies, this is what they respond to. There are many examples of this; the peaceful man who meditated daily..the horse lay down next to him, the young women who struggled with boundaries the horse was all over and the lady who was in a domestic violent relationship every time her partner came into her head the horse moved away. There are many stories but what is the point I am trying to make? Lets go back to why horses are acoustical to survive, horses are hunted but are not predators so in the wild they are very vulnerable. They therefore have learnt what the sensations moving through their bodies are for, they respond and go back to what they were doing. They do not dwell, they do not think about it (they won't survive if they did). Horses hearts are bigger than their brains, whereas humans brains are bigger than their hearts, humans spend a lot of time thinking in their heads. Horses teach us how to live in our bodies to understand the sensations in our bodies, what they are telling us and how to respond.
This is what Way of the Horse Coaching is all about, like equine therapy and equine learning it uses horses to facilitate the sessions, the uniqueness of Way of the Horse Coaching is it focuses on the moment and taking ownership of the future for healthy wellbeing.
Horses are magical in how they help humans, were they once unicorns? Thats another story!
