WAY OF THE HORSE COACHING INC
Way of the Horse Coaching Incorporated Board of Governors

Tania Ledson. - Treasurer
I thrive on seeing people grow and work towards their full potential. Over the past 30 years of my career, I have held various positions from coordinating community services, supporting mothers of multiple births, managing flexible learning options for young people disconnected from their high school and caring for young people living in residential care. I am passionate about supporting people who live with challenges caused by mental health, trauma, autism, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and substance abuse. I believe that personal confidence and resilience grows when young people feel valued and safe to be themselves to learn and grow . My experience and background in Developmental Education and youth work provides me with a strong foundation to provide this support.
I have been privileged to grow up with a love for horses, both riding for personal enjoyment and assisting others to connect with these beautiful gentle creatures. Volunteering with Way of the Horse Coaching provides me an opportunity to combine my 2 passions - horses and supporting people to realise their potential. I have witnessed young people’s confidence flourish through the special bond with a horse, strengthening their ability to understand, acknowledge, identify, and regulate their own emotions. I love celebrating each step and milestone with them and It is such a privilege to be a part of young people beginning to believe in themselves and achieve beyond their wildest beliefs and dreams. .

As a lawyer, I practised in the fields of human rights, tenants rights and disability rights. For the last few years I have worked as a disability advocate supporting people with disabilities who are in dispute with the NDIA. As part of my work with the Way of the Horse Coaching I spend a lot of time looking after the horses; I have learnt about their intuitive and responsive natures.
