Minimum requirements

Oversight

  • Site Leader is assigned as the teacher-in-charge, as the delegate of the site leader, to provide leadership and control of the centre.

  • In the absence of Site Leader sessions will not go ahead.

  • All students who attend the centre have a signed completed and signed registration forms and

First aid

  • First aid kit is available 

  • There is a qualified First Aider available at all times and all of the WHS First Aid requirements are met.

  • Health Care Plan process has been followed and staff are aware of any health concerns. A copy of any individual first aid plan where a child or young person has a known health condition has been completed and is on file at Way of the Horse Coaching

  • Medications required for young people are held in the staff area and are easily accessible and secured to prevent un-authorised use.

  • Address potential hazards for all locations and situations  in adverse weather conditions

  • Inclement weather – students are allowed to stay in a sheltered areaOutdoor activities – students are to wear a hat and use sunscreen.
